Deck Design

Colorado Remodelers design team will meet with you to determine the best type of deck for your home, and develop a design that fits your budget and your home. We will help you decide on the overall look, materials you want to use, and provide a free estimate of the cost.

Deck Materials

Trex and TimberTech are the two most popular brands of composite decking that Colorado Remodelers installs, but we also build decks using redwood, Ipe, Tigerwood and mohagany.

Trex and TimberTech both produce synthetic decking that require little to no maintenance, and they warranty the decking for up to 25 years. There are also less known brands such as Fiberon (Home Depot) and Deckorators (Lowes), which have a lower cost.

Redwood and hardwood decks require annual maintenance, but many people prefer using natural materials.

If you are planning on painting your deck, using pressure treated lumber is an option. This is a great option for mountain cabins.

Deck Construction

Colorado Remodelers builds, or rebuilds, all decks to conform to the most recent building codes. In most cases you will need a building permit, and we can handle that process for you. We will also make sure that all inspections are completed.

The support structure can either be pressure treated lumber (cheaper) or steel (lasts forever).

Deck Railings

There is a wide variety of deck railings and Colorado Remodelers has installed all of them in the past.

Trex & TimberTech both have railings and trim boards to match their product lines, but you can also choose wood, aluminum, or stainless steel cables. We do not recommend painted steel railings as they will rust over time.

Custom Designs

Most of the decks that Colorado Remodelers builds are decks where the boards are laid parallel to the house, but you can also choose to have them laid diagonally or in a custom pattern. We can also incorporate a built-in hot tub, fire pit or outdoor kitchen.
